The forecast is for serious winds with gusts up to 40 mph — as much as 70 mph gusts in the mountains. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory warning that the conditions can make driving hazardous and knock down power lines and poorly rooted trees. Also, a lot of rain is coming.

There’s a possibility of thunderstorms and hail from this weather system — and it’s supposed to hang around through much of the weekend.
