A new Adam Sandler film took over the number one spot at the Box Office this weekend. “Funny People,” is really more drama than comedy. Still, “Funny People” managed to rack up an estimated $23.4 million in theaters nationwide.
In second place, “Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince” with around $17.7 million. Last week’s top movie, the animated 3D flick, “G-Force” followed in third with about $17 million. The romantic comedy, “The Ugly Truth” grabbed fourth with an estimated $13 million. Also, the new family fantasy, “Aliens in the Attic” starring Ashley Tisdale, landed in fifth place with $7.8 million.
