The Mega Millions jackpot is growing again! Mega MIllions is one of the largest lottery games in North America with players in 39 states including California. The last big winners — a Southland couple. The wife, Jackie Cisneros, works in the KNBC newsroom in Burbank. The news producer and her recently unemployed husband, Gilbert Cisneros, won a $266 Mega Millions jackpot on May 4, 2010.
The couple plans to donate some of the money to charity. Also, according to the Mega Millions website, they want to fulfill a long time dream — make an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. No word yet on how they will collect their millions — in 26 annual payments or the cash value of the ticket. If they opt for cash, that will be $165 million before taxes.
The next Mega Millions draw is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 18 at 8 p.m.
