A big turkey giveaway at Dodger Stadium today. Turkeys, fixings and reusable canvas bags will be handed out to “… 2,100 pre-selected not for profit community organizations who will in turn distribute them to families in need,” according to a news release from the Dodger organization.
Dodger alumni “Sweet” Lou Johnson, Bobby Castillo, Matt Luke and Al Downing will be there to help with the ninth annual Community Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. Joining the Los Angeles Dodgers in this special program, Ralphs, Food 4 Less and Golden State Water Company.
The turkey distribution gets underway at 2 p.m. in” Lot P” at Dodger Stadium.
