A 22-year-old man is being held in the Burbank City Jail today after being arrested for attempted murder . Burbank Police respond to an emergency call of an assault in the 16oo block of West Alameda Avenue last night at around 7:30 p.m. They found a male victim, on the sidewalk, with severe injuries to the upper body and head described as “… apparent stab wounds and blunt force trauma,” in a BPD news release.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. A suspect, Eric Wang, was booked for attempted murder and is now being held on $500, 000 bail. Wang is due to be arraigned in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
January is turning into a very violent month for the Media City. Last Monday, the first homicide of the new year occurred. In that case, 40 year-old, Moises Diaz, has been charged with one count of murder in connection with the death of his mother.
