L’Wren Scott, fashion designer, stylist, and longtime girlfriend of rocker, Mick Jagger, was found dead of an apparent suicide in her posh New York City apartment today. Media reports say the 6-3 former model was discovered hanging by a scarf from a doorknob, by an assistant this morning.
Jagger and the Rolling Stones are in Australia, part of their world tour. Jagger reportedly is “… completely shocked and devastated.. ” by the tragedy. The couple had been dating since 2001.
The 47 year-old Scott is well known in the fashion industry and here in Hollywood. She created costumes for films like “Diabolique”(1996), and “Ocean’s Thirteen” (2007). Her designs have been worn by First Lady Michelle Obama as well as celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, and Sandra Bullock.
