It’s going to be hot and windy in Burbank today. Before 9 a.m. the temperature was hovering at around 80 degrees. Hot winds were blowing debris through the streets this morning and the air very dry. A wind advisory is in effect through tomorrow afternoon. Winds are expected to reach 25-30 MPH in the Media City today.
Weather watchers predict the high will be around 91 here on Tuesday even hotter in the next few days. Thanks to a high pressure system a heat wave is cooking the Southland. A fire watch goes into effect tonight through Thursday for Los Angeles and Ventura Counties because of gusty offshore winds and low relative humidity.
