Glendale authorities are asking for help in finding three arson suspects in connection with that brush fire above Brand Library last month. The fire broke out at around 12:30 p.m. on June 22 and scorched 150 acres of mountain terrain. No homes nor structures were damaged. An investigation, which included interviews with witnesses, has determined the three-day blaze may have been arson, according to a notice posted on the City of Glendale website yesterday.
Glendale Police and Fire investigators are requesting public assistance in the search for” three males in their mid to late teens.” The suspects “were last seen running to what is described as a gray sport utility style vehicle.”
Anyone with information on the fire or the suspects can call the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911 or Glendale Police Detective, Jeff Davis, at 818-548-3987. Also, you can remain anonymous by calling Glendale Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
