The web has been buzzing for days with wild reports about circumstances surrounding the shocking death of legendary comic, Joan Rivers, last month. Now some of the big media players have followed up on those reports, one of them is CNN. Not only is CNN reporting that Rivers’ personal physician was there during the comedienne’s scheduled endoscopy for a throat ailment, but it has identified that doctor as Manhattan’s Dr. Gwen Korovin — considered the nose, ear, and throat doctor to the stars.
Also, Dr. Korovin is alleged to have attempted a biopsy on Rivers’ throat, however, the entertainer stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest. Rivers was rushed to the hospital where she died a week later. CNN reportedly confirmed through a source that Dr. Korovin took a selfie with Rivers while she was sedated.
Meanwhile, Manhattan’s Yorkville Endoscopy clinic, where Rivers underwent what was supposed to be a minor procedure, claims “a biopsy of the vocal cords has never been performed at Yorkville Endoscopy. A number of investigations into Rivers’ death and the actions of the clinic are underway. More on these latest developments here.
