Those scoop happy folks at Baskin-Robbins are celebrating the U.S. military community all month-long with their November flavor of the month, First Class Camouflage, according to a news release. This new flavor is a combination of chocolate, salty caramel, and cake-flavored ice creams.
You can order the new flavored scoops the usual way in a cup or on a cone, or you can go for a camouflage waffle cone or waffle bowl, which are decorated green, brown, and tan. If you want to really load up on the goodies, try the First Class Camouflage layered sundae with OREO® cookie pieces, caramel praline topping, hot fudge and a final swirl of whipped cream.
“We’re excited to honor our military service members and veterans this November through our long-standing partnership with the USO, and hope our guests will join our efforts in supporting the USO on Veterans Day when we will make a donation for every scoop of ice cream sold in our U.S. restaurants to the organization,” Bill Mitchell, President, Baskin-Robbins U.S. and Canada, and Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins China, Japan and Korea, said in the news release.
Baskin-Robbins to donate a portion of proceeds on Veterans Day
Baskin-Robbins reportedly will donate 10 cents for every scoop it sells next Tuesday to the USO’s “Every Moment Counts” campaign, which encourages Americans to honor and create special moments for troops and their families, who make daily sacrifices as they serve.
The USO, United Service Organizations, is a private non-profit. Baskin-Robbins is the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops. The chain was founded locally in 1945 by ice cream enthusiasts and brothers-in-law, Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins. Both served in the military during World War II.
