A TSA checkpoint at the Bob Hope Airport is back up and running today, after being knocked out by yesterday’s stormy weather. It happened around 5 p.m. Victor Gill, spokesman for the airport, says storm water caused an electrical outage. Here’s the tweet that the airport sent out late yesterday.
Terminal A checkpoint currently closed due to electrical outage. Passengers being screened at Term B and bused back to Term A.

Gill didn’t have a number, but said there were ” a lot of passengers” who had to be moved and they were assisted by airport staff. He says the electrical problem was fixed around 1:30 this morning. However, the work had to be inspected by the Transportation Security Administration before Terminal A checkpoint could be reopen at around 4 a.m.
