Burbank, like the rest of the Southland, is getting pounded by a major storm, which moved into our area last night packing strong winds and very heavy rain at times. This morning around 11 a.m., you could barely see through a heavy downpour along West Olive Avenue in front of Samuel’s Florist.
Driving in the heavy rain is treacherous, but plenty of brave motorists were out on the roads and streets in Burbank.
A tremendous amount of rain followed into the street gutters along West Olive Avenue in Burbank during this storm. If only some of that precious water could be saved and used to quench the drought stricken city and Southland.
The National Weather Service forecast for B-town is for more showers this afternoon through at least 10 p.m. tonight, with the possibility of some hail. Temperatures today not expected to reach into the low 60s. Warmer temps and mostly sunny skies predicted for tomorrow and Sunday, but another storm is rolling our way early next week.
