Burbank Police are investigating a tragic incident involving a Metrolink train. A man was struck and killed by a train north of the Magnolia Boulevard overpass not far from the downtown station in Burbank shortly after 4 p.m. yesterday.
The Burbank Police Department has confirmed the identity of the man who was killed in that train versus pedestrian collision as George Gregory Plitt Jr., a top fitness expert and model. On his Facebook page, the 37 year-old trainer and sometime actor, claims to be America’s No. 1 male fitness model, appearing on the covers of more than 250 fitness magazines and 25 romance novels in the last four years.
ABC7 is reporting Plitt was with a group who might have been doing some type of video or film production. On Twitter, Metrolink reported it was train 268 on the Antelope Valley line, traveling from Los Angeles to Lancaster, that was involved. Burbank Police Sergeant, Claudio Losacco, would not say why Plitt was in the area because “that is still under investigation.”
A graduate of West Point , ex-U.S. Army Ranger, and skydiving pro, Greg Plitt made appearances on NBC’s “Days of our Lives, “Workout” on Bravo TV, and in movies like the boxing comedy, “Grudge Match” (2013), which starred Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone.
