Harry Potter fans are in hog heaven with the opening today of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” at Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City. Tickets for the long-awaited opening of this fantasy attraction were sold out days ago online. Several special deals such as the VIP Experience and Front of Line ticket option are sold out as well for Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9.
In the works for more than five years, “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” is based on author, J.K. Rowling’s, popular novels and characters that were brought to life in the Warner Bros. movies. The land reportedly “is faithful to the visual landscape of the fiction and films” which includes Hogwarts castle, the shops of Hogsmeade, dark villains, brave heroes, and magical creatures. There are opportunities to enjoy authentic food and beverage at a variety of places like “Three Broomsticks”, and “Hog’s Head” pub and the “Magic Neep and Butterbeer” carts. Also, guests will be able to go for thrill rides on “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,” and the family outdoor coaster, “Flight of the Hippogriff.”
“I am delighted to see ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ brought to life in a way that is so close to what I imagined when writing the books,” Rowling said in a news release. More information about the attraction and tickets here.
