Hip Hop legends Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are collaborating on a new venture. Earlier this month, during Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas, they rolled out the first ready-to-drink product from their new premium spirits company.
“Doggystyle” Album
The beverage joint enterprise comes on the 30th anniversary of Snoop’s debut album “Doggystyle,” produced by Dr. Dre in 1994. On that classic ground-breaking album, the Grammy-nominated song “Gin & Juice.” In a PRNewswire news release, the duo explained why they hooked up again. Snoop said, “Look at our age and look at what we’ve done, and we still love each other, so why not do something together?” Dr. Dre added, “Together, we always try to create magic, we’re having fun being creative, and everything about this product is really us.”
The new premium gin-based cocktails come in four flavors: Citrus, Melon, Passionfruit, and Apricot. Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop will be distributed nationally through Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, the largest beverage distributor in the U.S. The canned drinks will be rolling out across the country now through early spring. More offerings are expected from the brand.
Also, for Snoop, this is the latest product in his food and beverage empire, which ranges from ice cream to cereal to coffee to sparkling wines.
