Multi-talented writer Michael Crichton has died. Crichton, the author of blockbusters like “Jurassic Park,” “The Andromeda Strain,” and “Sphere” just to name a few, passed away yesterday in Los Angeles. He leaves behind an incredible body of work.
“The Andromeda Strain” was published in 1969 while Crichton was still a medical student. He went on to become a medical doctor, but continued to write; mostly science fiction thrillers. His books have sold millions of copies and some have been turned into successful films as well. My favorite has to be the sci-fi adventure, “Jurassic Park.”
Crichton, a producer and director, helped create the popular TV drama, “ER.” Crichton was 66.
