Stormy skies over the weekend for Burbank and the rest of the Southland, according to the weather watchers. The rain rolled in late last night. This morning, the major freeways were littered with wrecks, toppled vehicles, and pockets of backed-up traffic.
The forecast is for steady rain, heavy at times, throughout the day and much of the evening. There’s a flash flood watch for the local burn areas and a wind advisory for the mountains, where gusts could reach 60-to-70 mph.
Here in the Media City, riding along with this cold front — some strong winds, 10-20 mph with some 30 mph gusts. The high today — upper 50s to low 60s.
