Saraya Thai Cuisine is a nice place to dine anytime. This little Thai café offers a variety of delicious entrees as well as appetizers and deserts. It is small, clean and comfortable. The drinking water they serve to customers here is fresh and tasteful. Many restaurants, when you ask for water, and it is served– after one sip and you know you don’t want another drink of it.
The prices at Saraya are reasonable and run from : $6.95 to approximately $15.00. The menu offers vegetarian choices such as red curry with vegetables, tofu soup as well as a wide selection of frsh, chicken, and beef dishes.
If you eat ice cream, they serve a delightful Thai coconut ice cream that literally melts in your mouth. I love this desert, it’s very light and always refreshing. Another one of my favorite Saraya items is a papaya salad with shredded green papaya, peanuts, green beans, and tomatoes in a fresh chili and lime sauce.
This restaurant has been open for four years, but unless you frequent this area you have probably missed it. The owner Lek Piriya is always on premises. His wait staff is limited, but always courteous. They know every ingredient in all their dishes. If you are unable to eat peanuts, for instance, they’ll suggest another tasty dish without those nuts.
If you have a large group or party, they can accommodate up to forty people. Also, They cater and deliver, especially to Warner Bros. and many studio facilities here in Burbank. Their delivery area is within three miles of their café.
Remember, this is not a fast food restaurant, their dishes take time to prepare. It’s really just a little convenient neighborhood café with great food. There is parking in a small lot in front of the café or on West Olive Avenue or on the cross street Beachwood Avenue.
