A lot of record-breaking heat in Burbank over the past few days, but a cooling trend, ever so slight, is expected to kick in today. Yesterday, the temperature soared to 100 in B-town — tied the previous record set on October 11 in 1971. Also, a record high temperature of 104 set in Burbank on Friday — broke an old record of 101 set in 1976.
By 11 a.m. this morning, the temperature had jumped to 90 in the Media City. Weather watchers are predicting a high in the upper 90s today. Let’s hope they’re right and it’s the beginning of a swing back to fall weather.
