“Hunger Games” star Josh Hutcherson has bought a $1.25 million home on a tree-lined street in Studio City. The home is being called East Coast traditional and got a complete re-do back in 2011, according to the Trulia real estate blog.
The 1,506 square foot three bedroom and two bath house, is beautifully decorated in black and white. The highlights of the property include dark hardwood floors, a cook’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances, landscaped grounds, and lovely views of the hills.
Despite the property’s pluses, it’s not what you expect a celebrity to buy. It’s not really that private. The home is not gated and sits right up on the street. There is speculation the actor made the purchase as an investment.
He began his career in Hollywood as a child actor. Hutcherson hit it big when he snagged the lead male role of Peeta Mellark in the “Hunger Games” film series, which is based on the bestselling books by Suzanne Collins. “The Hunger Games” ( 2012) and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” (2013) films have made more than a billion dollars worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. The next movie in the action adventure series, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1,” is due to hit theaters this November.
