Today I walked into the food mart at the Chevron station, 100 South Glenoaks Boulevard across from the Burbank Central Library, and found manager Javed Khandaker behind the counter. I asked about that winning Mega Millions lottery ticket, which won $755, 147 in last Friday’s draw. Khandaker smiled broadly and proudly said,”I sold it.” He says it’s the first time in 17 years that a lottery ticket worth that much money has been purchased at that gas station.
A lottery official notified the station yesterday that it had sold a winning Mega Millions ticket, which has all but the Mega Ball. The winning numbers: 9, 15, 21, 40, 54, and the Mega Ball 11. So far, the ticket holder has not come forward with the hot ticket.
No one picked all six numbers in that draw — the next chance to make the big score is Tuesday, May 29, and the jackpot will be worth at least $32 million.
