Emily Gabel-Luddy is heading into the final months of her position as Burbank Mayor. In the spring, a new mayor will be selected from among the Burbank city council members. So does Mayor Gabel-Luddy have other political aspirations? She may have hinted at this in a recent interview in The Tolucan Times.
In the interview, the mayor was asked this question?
Do you have aspirations after serving as Mayor of Burbank?
Here’s what the mayor is quoted as saying.
“I think Congress needs a lot of help right now because it is totally dysfunctional. Fortunately, our Congressmen are very committed and level-headed. So, I am proud as Mayor that we are working for our community taking steps to make sure we are as top notch as we possibly can be. My feet are on the ground; I may have long range and big plans, but I never lose sight of the day-to-day demands and my responsibility to the community.”
Hmm, the mayor brings up the “dysfunctional” Congress. So she understood “aspirations” to mean political goals. And just like a politician who doesn’t want to tip her hand, she says…” I may have long range and big plans, but I never lose sight of the day-to-day demands and my responsibility to the community.”
Interesting comment in a very informative interview. Check it out here.
