Preparations are in the final stages for tomorrow’s edition of Burbank on Parade. The huge community event is scheduled to roll down a section of West Olive Avenue, between Lincoln (or Keystone) and Lomita streets, beginning at 11 a.m. There will be celebs, marching bands, floats, dancers, clowns, equestrian units and much more.
“Burbank on Parade is our city’s only event geared to everyone in the family,” Joanne Miller, parade chairwoman, said in a news release. “So many citizens wait all year long to share this special day with us and we hope to live up to those expectations with this year’s production. This year’s theme ‘Let’s Go To The Movies’ depicts perfectly what life is like living here in the midst of the Media Center.”
Food trucks will be on site in the parking lot behind the Joslyn Center at South Griffith Park Drive and Clark Avenue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers expect 30,000 spectators to turn out to watch Burbank on Parade.
