More changes in the Burbank Police Department. The word is Captain Mike Albanese has been promoted to deputy chief. The position opened up last month, after Tom Angel took the job of chief of staff at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Albanese has been a key member of Chief Scott Lachasse’s leadership group since his arrival at the BPD in 2010. Among his duties, head of the patrol division and the department’s mental health evaluation team. Before joining the BPD, Albanese reportedly spent 37 years in the Los Angeles Police Department.
