A suspect in connection with two suspicious fires in Burbank is being held on $50,000 bail today. Earlier this week, the fires broke out in two trash dumpsters within a block of each other. Investigations by the Burbank Fire Department and Burbank PD arson investigators concluded both appeared ” to have been intentionally set.”
During the criminal investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for 40 year-old Mohammed Bashir of Burbank. Yesterday, Bashir turned himself into Burbank Police and was arrested, according to a news release. Bashir was booked on suspicion of committing arson. Bashir is now behind bars at the Los Angeles County Men’s Jail and is due to appear in court next Monday, June 23.
