Burbank Police are investigating what they’re calling a gang-related shooting, which sent an 18 year-old male to the hospital. The victim was hit by gunfire on New Year’s Eve. It happened in the 200 block of West Verdugo Avenue at around 2:30 p.m.
In a news release, Burbank PD spokesman, Sergeant Claudio Losacco said “Preliminary information is that a black sedan, occupied by two Hispanic males drove by, yelling gang related obscenities and shot at the victim and his friend.” The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital by his friend. The victim’s “injuries do not appear life-threatening,” according to Sgt. Losacco.
