Burbank, California – An investigation is underway following an early morning shooting that
occurred in a residential area.
On April 2, 2024, at around 3:20 a.m., Burbank Police Communications received several calls
from citizens reporting the sound of gunshots heard in the area of Elmwood Avenue and
Glenoaks Boulevard. Burbank Police officers responded to the area and located a shooting
scene in the 300 block of East Elmwood Avenue. Officers also encountered an adult male
suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The shooting victim, who is in his 30s, was transported to a local trauma center for further
medical treatment. He is expected to survive.
Burbank Police officers secured the area prior to the arrival of detectives. Investigators then
began searching for evidence related to the shooting and interviewing potential witnesses.
At this time, no arrests have been made.
