Burbank, CA (April 22, 2025) – On the afternoon of Friday, April 18, an individual was found deceased inside an office at the Water Reclamation Plant, located in the 700 block of North Lake Street.

While the cause of death remains under investigation, the incident did not impact the City’s drinking water.  Operations at the Water Reclamation Plant involve treating and recycling wastewater for non-potable uses and are entirely separate from the City’s drinking water system, which is supplied by the Metropolitan Water District.
