The 29th annual National Night Out kicks off from coast to coast tonight. Burbank will take part in this crime and drug prevention event. This is how a Burbank Police news release described it: “National Night Out is a nationwide, one-night rally, where citizens and law enforcement join forces to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. Last year, over 1,100 people participated in the event.”
There will be neighborhood block parties all around the Media City. Once again, the official city block party/funfest will be at the Chandler Bikeway, between Keystone and Brighton Streets. There will be information booths, exhibits, and free food! The festivities at the big city block party begins at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.
