Millions of pint-sized ghosts, goblins, fantasy characters, and wicked little impostors are getting ready to hit the streets for Halloween. They’ll be on the prowl tomorrow night for candy of course, but reportedly will kick off or end their evening with pizza. Domino’s, the giant super fast pizza maker and delivery service, is gearing up to dish up a lot pies on October 31st.
“Halloween is one of the five busiest nights of the year for Domino’s pizza delivery in the U.S.,” said Jenny Fouracre, Domino’s spokeswoman, in a news release. “Our team members prepare and sharpen their skills all year long so they’re ready to deliver. Smart hustle, extra ingredients and increased staff will keep Domino’s ready for the Halloween rush.”
The pizza.com website touts the popularity of these spicy pies with a collection of facts and figures. The site claims 94 percent of Americans eat pizza regularly. Candy is dandy, but children, 3 – 11, prefer pizza over all other food groups for lunch and dinner, according to the site. Oh, by the way, October is national pizza month.
