The studious and very green new mascot for the Burbank library was unveiled at a ceremony last Wednesday. Dewey the Dragon is the creation of Burbank artist Chris Runco. Last March, the community development and leadership organization, Burbank Neighborhood Leadership Program, launched a contest to find a “creative mascot” to promote the city’s three library branches. They got more than a hundred entries.
The unveiling of Dewey took place at the Buena Vista branch of the Burbank library.
