Big celebration for Earth Day 2013 at the Burbank Recycle Center, 500 South Flower Street, on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. “The community is invited to come enjoy live music, gourmet food trucks, rare behind the scenes tours of the recycle center, and learn about the numerous sustainability resources that are available, ” according to a news release sent out by the Recycle Center.
Also, there will be prizes, informational booths, electric vehicles on display, a special area for the kids, and much more. Parking is on the street or at the Public Works Yard parking lot on Verdugo Avenue. In the release, folks planning on attending are encouraged,”… to bike, walk, bus, or carpool to the event to reduce congestion and to experience Burbank in a new way.” Go for it.
Earth Day 2013 is on Monday, April 22.
