The first in a series of community meetings tonight about an off-leash dog park in Burbank. The development of such a park has been kicking around since 1997. However, the concept has moved into the serious stage with three sites being considered by Burbank’s Park and Recreation Department. The sites involved: an open space area adjacent to Bel Aire Baseball Field, Starlight Bowl Parking Lot, and Johnny Carson Park South.
The community meeting will give members of the public the chance to discuss the pros and cons of each site as well as the overall concept of the off-leash dog park. The meeting will be in the Community Room of the Community Services Building 150 North Third Street, tonight at 6 p.m. A second meeting is scheduled in the same location this coming Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10 a.m.
If you cannot attend those meetings, there will be two additional meetings next month. Also, you can send your concerns and questions to BurbankDogPark@burbankca.gov. More information here.
