The late night TV talk show landscape is about to change again. In a surprise announcement today, veteran talker, David Letterman, says he’s calling it quits in 2015 when his contract expires. Letterman announced his retirement today in front of a studio audience before Thursday’s taping of the CBS “Late Show” in the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City’s Times Square.
After more than 20 years, Letterman will be moving on next year. He didn’t give an exact date. In true Letterman style, he made the announcement with grace and humor.
