There’s a new fast food joint in Burbank. It opened last Saturday with long lines and free hot dogs all day long! It’s another one of those new trendy fast-casual eateries with a lot of healthy ingredients and variety of choices. The Dog Haus offers up “gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers, and one-of-a-kind creations,” according to a news release.
In 2010, the first Dog Haus opened in Pasadena. There are now three company-owned locations and several franchises. The company touts its 100% all-beef skinless Haus Dogs, Haus Sausages, and 100% natural Black Angus beef burgers, which are served on grilled King’s Hawaiian Rolls. You can order from the menu or customize your order from a selection of more than 40 plus toppings.
Dog Haus has taken over the location of the old Taco Bell at 3817 West Olive Avenue. The word got around quickly. Folks reportedly began lining up at the Haus as early as 9 a.m., even though the official time schedule was 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The Haus social media coordinator, Adam Post, who was distributing menus to customers in line, told me the first 24 got more than free hot dogs. They were given free tee shirts, hats and a special deal: “… could come back for a free combo each month for the next six months,” Post explained.
When we arrived around 4 p.m. the line was long, but moving and the inside packed with diners.

My husband and I made our way to the head of the line and ordered “The Cowboy” and the “Downtown Dog.”

I had the “Downtown Dog.” The franchise owner, Diana Ramos, was bussing the tables and working the room. Ramos told me the “Downtown Dog” is one of her favorites along with the burgers. She quickly added, “everything is good.”

Sitting inside next to me, a woman chowing down on a veggie dog. On a scale of 1-to-10, I asked her how was it? She thought for a moment then said, “7.” You know I would give that “Downtown Dog” I had the same rating of a “7.”

The prices for these specialty dogs, sausages, and burgers range from $1.69-to-$7.99. There are plenty of extras you can buy. If you make it a combo that adds $2.99 to the price.
