Script and film deals

Apparently, it didn’t take long for Hollywood to get inspired by “Signalgate.” The Trump Administration continues to struggle with the scandal over a journalist accidentally added to a chat with White House officials discussing military actions in Yemen. Meanwhile, a deal was announced a few days ago for actor, comedian, and successful pitchman Kevin Hart to star in a film called “72 Hours.”Β Here’s the logline: A 40-year-old executive hopes to save his flailing career by joining a group of twentysomethings on a wild three-day bachelor party, after heβs inadvertently added to their group text.
The script has been around for a while, but is now getting a rewrite to whip it into a TV movie for one of the streamers. This is all according to The Tracking Board.
Alec Baldwin and a political campaign violations settlement
Former California Assemblymember Evan Low and his campaign committee were hit with a $106,000 penalty on Friday, March 28. This follows a five-year investigation by the California Fair Political Practices Commission. CALMATTERS reports that Low was charged with 18 campaign finance violations, including failing to disclose a more than $227,000 appearance fee paid to actor Alec Baldwin.
Low first claimed Baldwin volunteered to attend a tech policy event and a campaign fundraiser for his run to be the U.S. Representative for the California 16th Congressional District. Later, Low admitted Baldwin was paid to attend the two events back in 2020. Low lost the election to former San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo. Low is now the president and CEO of the National LGBTQ+ Victory Fund.
Laker rookie gets new partnership deal
Dalton Knecht plays with excitement and passion. And he is known to hit some three-pointers. However, his first season with the Lakers has been bumpy. The 23-year-old from Tennessee was part of that failed trade deal with the Charlotte Hornets last month. Since returning to the purple and gold, he has had limited playing time, but he has clearly continued to impress.
Yesterday, March 28, El Pollo Loco, one of the top restaurant chains in the Southland, announced Knecht as its first-ever athlete partner. Hopefully, Knecht’s career with the Lakes will soon pick up as well.
