Movie fans were gong-ho for horror flicks on Halloween weekend, propelling “Saw 3D” to the top of the Box Office. “Saw 3D” debut with a respectable $22.5 million, acccording to the final figures out today. “Saw 3D” is now the number one movie in the country.
This is the seventh and reportedly final chapter in John “Jigsaw” Kramer’s torture series of challenges and tests for his victims. Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, and Betsy Russell star. Whether this turns out to be the end of Jigsaw, more than likely depends on how much dough this installment of the series manages to scare up at the Box Office.
The psychological horror flick , “Paranormal Activity 2,” last week’s top film, had to settle for second place with $16.5 million. The action comedy “Red” earned $10.7 million, good enough for third, followed by the comedy “Jackass 3-D” in fourth with $8.5 million and in fifth, the spiritual drama, “Hereafter” with $6.4 million.
