The London Olympiad, which draws the attention of people around the world, is about to end.
Many athletes have won glorious medals, but a lot more athletes will go back to their countries with empty hands.
There is one thing that will be equally given to those who won medals, those who didn’t, as well as to all the people who enjoyed the Olympic games. That is the time of tomorrow.
Being asked the secret of winning, an archer who won a gold medal responded, “I could win because I could keep serenity of mind well. And I didn’t think about the arrows which had left the bow.”
Yuna Kim, a Korean figure skater who won a gold medal at the last Winter Olympics, said the same thing. For the secret of success, she answered, “Because I could maintain serenity of mind in front of the large audience.”
Perhaps that is not a secret only for winning a gold medal at the Olympics.
I think that the secret can be applied to me about the way to spend each day at the cleaners. Maybe it is a secret of a successful life.
If we try our best with gratitude and serenity of mind without being captivated by bad memories from the past and delusional unrealistic desire, I think that we will be a gold medal winner on that day, every day. Don’t you agree?
Now it is mid-August.
The sweltering summer which seems to last forever will pass. Our children will have a new school year or move to middle schools, high schools or colleges.
I wish that you’ll be a gold medal winner in life every day, always with a comfortable and calm mind.
