Los Angeles Police detectives today announced the offer of a $50,000 reward in the unsolved murder of Joseph Gatto, the father of state Assemblyman Mike Gatto (D) 43rd District. Assemblyman Gatto joined police and some local leaders in making the announcement.
The body of the elder Gatto was discovered in his Silver Lake home on November 13, 2013. Gatto reportedly died from a “single gunshot wound.” Investigators determined the victim’s death occurred “… approximately 24 hours before he was discovered by family members.”
The reward is being offered for information leading to the identity, arrest, and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the murder of the 78-year-old Joseph Gatto.
