You can have a lot of fun at the Orange County Fair, but can you win a million dollars? Well, one lucky fairgoer did. It happened about a week ago, and California Lottery officials are waiting for that person to step forward and claim the big prize.
The $10 dollar scratcher ticket was purchased at the CA Lottery LIVE! booth , Sunday, July 28, on the fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. 5 Star Liquor from Westminster is the retailer running the booth. The surprised fairgoer reportedly showed the $1 million ticket to one of the retailer’s employees at the booth to confirm his win.
Meanwhile, an estimated $174 million is up for grabs in the Powerball draw tonight. No major winners in last Saturday’s draw. However, last Wednesday, July 31, someone bought a ticket at Buddies Market 696 Chenery in San Francisco that had five of the winning numbers, but not the Powerball. That ticket is worth $987,439. The money digits from that draw are 23, 34, 37, 50, 58 and the Powerball 7.
