Today is the 25th anniversary of the federal holiday honoring the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The first MLK Day was observed in 1986.
Dr. King was fatally wounded by an assassin’s bullet on a balcony in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 4, 1968. The dreamer died that day, but not his dream of civil rights and social justice for a country he loved deeply. Remember the dreamer and his career of service. Live the dream.
