Earlier this week, I mailed off my ballot for the Burbank General Municipal Election at my local post office. Today is really the last day you should mail your ballot. You don’t want to miss the 7 p.m. Election Day deadline.
Starting tomorrow, the best way to ensure that your ballot will get counted is to take it to one of the drop off centers or City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 275 East Olive Avenue.
City Clerk’s Office:
This drop off center will be open tomorrow, Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Election Day, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Several alternate drop-off centers:
Buena Vista Library — 300 North Buena Vista Street
Joslyn Center — 1301 West Olive Avenue
McCambridge Recreation Center — 1515 North Glenoaks Boulevard
Tuttle Center — 1731 North Ontario Street
These drop off locations will be open tomorrow, Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Election Day, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Who got my vote
For the two seats on the Burbank City Council:
- David Gordon, for his tireless fight for residents, independent thinking, and frequently probing questions
- David Nos, fresh ideas and courage to take a stand on controversial issues during the campaign, e.g. Screenland Drive sidewalks and the city council majority’s disturbing practice of refusing to allow Dr. Gordon to serve as vice-mayor or mayor
For the two seats on the Burbank Unified School District board:
- Larry Applebaum, experience and strong leadership
- Steve Ferguson, fresh ideas and commitment to our schools and students
