Final preparations are wrapping up at the newest Target in Burbank. The store at 1033 North Hollywood Way is set for a soft opening Wednesday, April 4. Doors will open to the public at 7 a.m. tomorrow. The grand opening celebration is this Sunday, April 8.
The Burbank Target West is about 24,750 square feet and is considered one of the retailer’s small-format stores. “With a smaller footprint, these stores curate an assortment to meet the needs of local guests,” according to a news release. Also, much of the staffing was done locally. “The store has hired nearly 75 team members to help serve the residents of Magnolia Park and area neighborhoods. While the store has hired for most of the open roles, interested candidates should visit Target.com/careers, ” Jacque DeBuse, Target PR, told Media City Groove.
Meanwhile, tonight there will be an invitation-only ribbon-cutting ceremony and a private event for community guests at the new Burbank Target West.
Next Sunday, the grand opening festivities begin at 8 a.m. The first 1,000 customers reportedly will get complimentary reusable bags.
