The hot button issue of a replacement terminal for the Bob Hope Airport will be discussed at two city council meetings this week. Tomorrow at the regular scheduled city council meeting, members will have what Mayor Bob Frutos calls an “open-minded” discussion of the city’s proposal.
On Wednesday, July 15, there will be the special joint meeting of the city council and the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority at the Buena Vista Library 300 North Buena Vista Street. Last Monday, the city council held a special meeting to discuss the agenda and format of the joint meeting. This will be an opportunity for the public to hear presentations of proposals from both sides and weigh in with their questions and concerns. Both proposals are posted on the city website.
The joint meeting begins at 6 p.m. Also, it will be televised live. Burbank Public Information Officer, Drew Sugars, confirmed that today:”… we are planning on airing it live on Charter, AT&T and live streaming with a replay scheduled for 10am the next day (7/16). It will also be archived on the Granicus system.”
