Despite his untimely death, actor Paul Walker, will appear in the next installment of the billion-dollar movie franchise, “Fast & Furious.” His fellow actor, Vin Diesel, made the announcement late yesterday on his Facebook page and posted the above photo saying it was “… the last scene we filmed together.”
Also, Diesel disclosed “Fast & Furious 7” will be released on April 10, 2015. Universal Pictures later confirmed the release date and Walker’s appearance in the film. The Wrap posted this response from the studio: “… Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of FAST & FURIOUS 7, which will be released by Universal Pictures on April 10, 2015. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series, and Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel return as producers.”
Walker was working on this film when he was killed in a fiery car crash along with his business partner, Roger Rodas, November 30. The two were leaving a charity event in Santa Clarita when the rare 2005 Porsche Carrera GT Rodas was driving crashed and exploded into flames. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators say speed was a factor in the single-vehicle accident, but so far have not determined the exact cause of the crash. A preliminary report from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office earlier this month, said the 40 year-old-actor died from “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.” The report listed Rodas’ cause of death as “multiple traumatic injuries.”
Thousands of fans converged on the crash site on December 8 to honor Walker. Later, family and friends, held a private service for Walker at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills on December 14. The actor’s remains were cremated and his ashes interred at that cemetery.
