The winner of the fantasy trophy for outstanding display of animation and imagination at the 124th Rose Parade on New Year’s Day has wrapped up a final showing in Burbank. Burbank’s float, “Deep Sea Adventures,” built by volunteers, drew crowds to the parking lot at Glenoaks Boulevard and Olive Avenue from January 3-7.
This morning the float was moved to the auxiliary warehouse at the Burbank Water and Power site on Olive Avenue. On Saturday, January 12, there will be a float dismantling party there beginning at 10 a.m.
Next year, Burbank will celebrate its 100th anniversary of participation in the Tournament of Roses parade. This amazing effort is a great promotion for the creative skills and incredible volunteer spirit in Burbank.
