Millions of dreamers threw down tons of money for Powerball tickets, but none came up with the winning numbers in yesterday’s draw. Those multi-million dollar digits: 16, 19, 32, 34, 57, and the red Powerball 13. Saturday’s jackpot, nearly 950 million, rolled over and leaped the jaw-dropping one billion mark. Right now, the jackpot stands at $1.3 billion and yes, it will most likely go higher as the ticket buying frenzy gets underway for the next draw.
The jackpot is still up for grabs, but some California players did scoop up some crash in last night’s draw. Tickets bought in Nice, Nipton, Mountain Pass, Fremont, Stockton, and Dana Point had all the numbers, except the right Powerball. Each ticket is worth $779, 264. That probably will pay off holiday expenses with plenty left over for most folks. Also, 53 other players got four numbers and the Powerball correct. The return on that $2 ticket is $22, 584.
The next Powerball draw isWednesday, January 13 at 7:59 p.m. The big question now, is how rich will the jackpot get before someone wins it all.
