If the heated and sometimes rowdy Republican presidential debates are making you a little nauseous and nervous about who will lead this country, just think back to some words of wisdom from the two famous past presidents we honor today, George Washington (February 22, 1732 – December 14, 1799) and Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865).
“The basis of our political system is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government.”

“This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it.” Abraham Lincoln (First inaugural address, March 4, 1861)
The people have the power to shape our country and our future. We the people have the responsible to use that power wisely and select leaders who know who is really in charge and act accordingly.
