Some die hard fans of the alternative rock band ,Twenty One Pilots, camped out in Burbank to be first in line for the duo’s album release party today. Natasha Mayani, a teenager from Pomona, slept in a sleeping bag on the sidewalk in front of the Burbank Studios on Alameda Avenue. She arrived last night at 7 p.m. Several others like, 16 year-old Cami Iverson of Studio City, 16 year-old Hailey Drager of Valley Village, 15 year-old Sara Milletaire of Van Nuys, and 20 year-old Emily Urie of Pasadena spent the night in a tent.
When I asked them why they’re so devoted to Twenty One Pilots I was told, “they’re amazing,” and “their music speaks to us.” Milletaire summed it up by saying they “mean the world to us. We love them very much.” Milletaire, Iverson, Urie and Drager have RSVP tickets to be in “The Barricade” — the area right in front of the stage.
The album release party this evening is for the duo’s fourth album, “Blurryface.” Twenty One Pilots has performed at a number of places locally like Disneyland, House of Blues, and the Hollywood Palladium. Below is the music video of “Tear In My Heart” a single on the new album.
