Actor Ryan Reynolds is a looker. He’s appear on several People magazine lists for most beautiful and sexiest celebrities. Back in November 2010, Reynolds won the title of People’s Sexiest Man Alive. And he’s a fan favorite. Recently, thousands of fans went on Facebook to vote in a contest held by Madame Tussauds Hollywood for the next celebrity to appear in wax.
After three months of voting, Reynolds beat out a hot list of stars that included Ryan Gosling, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, and Sofia Vergara to win the contest, according to PRNewswire. Yesterday, Reynolds was at the Hollywood attraction for the unveiling of his wax figure — on his 37th birthday!
“Thank you to everyone at Madame Tussauds Hollywood for their hard work and talent,” said Reynolds after seeing the completed figure.” This is undoubtedly the largest and most spectacular birthday candle I’ve ever receive.”
Colin Thomas, general manager of Madame Tussauds Hollywood, said in a news release. “Any of the celebrities we were considering would have been a great addition to the attraction. Ryan has an incredible fan base though and they weren’t going to give up until he won!”
The Tussauds Studios have been in the figure making business for more than 200 years. It reportedly took 330 pounds of clay, more than 20 skilled artists and numerous measurements to complete the Reynolds wax figure. It will go on display at Madam Tussauds Hollywood, 6933 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, next Tuesday, October 29.
